Sika Igolflex R rubber-bitumen waterproof coating

A flexible, thick-film coating made from rubber-bitumen emulsion, solvent free and ready to use with no mixing or heating. Used as an external protective coating and vapour barrier on retaining walls, basements and settlement tanks. It protects concrete against salty ground water and mild soil acids, bridges shrinkage and hairline cracks, stays flexible at low temperatures, and applies to dry or damp surfaces without sagging on vertical walls.

Key specs

• Pack: 20 kg pail or 200 kg drum
• Coats: primer (1:1 with clean water) about 0.35 kg/m², then 2–3 coats of undiluted product at about 0.7 kg/m² each; optional 75 g/m² fibreglass mat between coats
• Drying: tack-free in ½–1 hour; recoat after 6–12 hours; fully cured in 2–4 days
• Apply when air and substrate are +8 °C to +35 °C
• Solids at least 55 % by weight
• Store at +5 °C to +30 °C away from sun and frost; shelf life 9 months
